BW Perunding Sdn Bhd was formed in 1976 as a wholly owned Malaysian firm registered with the Registrar of Companies Malaysia. The firm is a Body Corporate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and a Panel Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia. BW Perunding Sdn Bhd is a 100% owned Bumiputera company with two Directors and five Technical Directors with many years of experience as professional consulting engineers. The firm specialises in civil engineering projects with particular expertise in water resources development, water supply engineering and environmental pollution control. These include hydrological and geotechnical studies, dams, water treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, reservoirs, drainage, sewers, sewage treatment works, industrial waste treatment and disposal. The firm offers a complete service in all the fileds of public health engineering. Initial concepts are developed from investigations and surveys into practical engineering solutions designed to suit local and particular conditions.

The firm has wide experience in preparing Master Plans, Feasibility Studies and Outline Design as a prelude to the development and achievement of complete engineering projects.

The firm has implemented water treatment and distribution schemes in both rural and urban communities. Water treatment plants have been designed to treat a variety of raw water to the standards laid down by the client. Treatment plants range from small chlorination station to large multi-stage plants.

Major water transmission systems comprising main, pumping stations and service reservoirs have been designed, and complex distribution schemes prepared using modern specialist software packages.

The firm's head office in Kuala Lumpur and employs a full time staff of 82 including 36 professional engineers. The firm is also able to call on its associate firms to second specialists and consultants for specific assignments as and when needed. The firm has a branch office in Ipoh which enables it to provide a better service for the northern states of peninsular Malaysia including Kedah and Perlis.

The firm operates modern in-house computer facilities and CAD workstations to satisfy its engineering design, draughting and administrative requirements.
