| Design of Trunk Sewers and Water Mains Pumping Stations and Reservoirs. |
The firm in association with Tahir Wong Sdn Bhd was appointed to engineer the water supply and sewerage system for this housing schemes which comprises residential, light industrial and commercial activities. The total equivalent population is 20,456. The water supply system incorporates a 0.6 million gallons reservoir and another 0.25 million gallons elevated reservoir to served the 4 miles of reticulation pipeline ranging from 6" dia. to 18" dia. A water supply pumping stations lift the water into the elevated tank. The sewerage system here consist of about 3.4 miles of sewers ranging from 9" dia. to 21" dia. Also included were the house connection. A sewerage pumping station with 2 pumps (one duty and standby) is used to lift sewage from the lower portion of the scheme into the Treatment Plant, Sewage treatment is by others in a separate contract. An effluent
pipeline 0.7 miles long and 15" dia. discharges the treated effluent
to the Sg Kerayong just outside the scheme. |
